Acosta Danza has been recognized by the Dance Section of the Critics Circle as the best independent company, in the 21st edition of the UK National Dance Awards.

This category analyzes companies that maintain a stable and permanent job in the UK scenarios, which do not belong to the circle of companies subsidized by the state, the government or any British governmental institution. Along with Acosta Danza, shows from companies such as 2Faced Dance, Boy Blue Entertainment, Rhiannon Faith Company and Scottish Dance Theater were evaluated.

Since its debut in 2016, the company has had a close relationship with the UK performing world. The public in more than ten British cities has enjoyed Cuban shows as part of tours organized throughout most of the country. The company has performed at major London venues such as the Royal Opera House, Sadler’s Wells Theater and the Royal Albert Hall.
